Anyone have these seeds?

Oh, sure. The marshmallow plant has lots of leaves. It just hasn’t set seeds yet. I’m not going to harvest anything but seeds from it this year.

The licorice seeds the second year, so those plants have already made it through one summer and one winter.

I don’t know that they’re duplicates, but I suspect. No knowledge on that one.

A while back someone in Australia was looking for the variegated type and mentioned the cultivar name, but I can’t remember it. It may have been a conversation on Permies? Not sure.

So you don’t want to try it’s flavor, even a little nibble?

YAY!!! Way to goo licorice plants

@Lauren was this it?

That’s it.

I found an indication that horseradish has “a tendency” toward male sterility, and is self-incompatible.

oh that’s interesting… it wouldn’t have anything to do with the root crop thing right?

Could this be a way for commercial seed companies to create CMS lines?

Not sure. I only found mention of one current breeder, and it’s very much a niche product, unlike carrots, so with as few seeds as the plants naturally produce even under ideal conditions, I can’t see why they would introduce cms.
