Corn landraces for Denmark

2025

Results from this year I would describe as close to total failure. Which means I basically only got baby corn to eat and only a little bit of seed. The soil in the new location really is very different from what I am used to. Some factors that also affected the crop was lower germination so plants ended up pollinating each other less (I think). The main thing I think is lack of nutrients.

My way of turning failure into a chance of growth is that the little seed I did get probably has some potential. (The slogan of our community when crops fail!). This year I did get good results from Low-input Zucchini for Northern Europe from seed that came close to total failure last year, so I am planning on sowing this seed centrally among the other seed I will sow next season.
