Yes, I guess all members of the Landrace network aim at reducing their dependency from the centralized seeds systems / providers, in order to preserve / restore some capacity to produce healthy food the way we want. ---

Yeah. I think the thing that originally got me interested in genetic diversity was learning about the Cavendish banana monocultures – and what happened to the Gros Michel monocultures they replaced. That was what really opened my eyes to realizing how crucially important genetic diversity is. ---

I’m currently listening to Terra Viva by Vandana Shiva (Available through Chelsea green publishing here [https://www.chelseagreen.com/product/terra-viva/](https://www.chelseagreen.com/product/terra-viva/) ) on that same subject. Great resource also to dig deep into this important subject. I was particularly struck by her description of the role women play in this battle. Highly recommend it. ---
