Hello alltogether!

Is it possible to join the group at some point? I just found this thread by accident today.

A friend of mine and me are planning a beetroot grex next year (2027). When I see how much work you did to aquire beetroot varieties, I am asking myself if it is not possible to participate at your work and share F2- or later generations with you in the next years…

Please let me know, if someone had leftover some seeds to share or if there is a rest of the main collection in your hands, @malterod

Also I am very interested to know how your plants are growing this year in the different regions?

I am growing a F3 of a Swiss chard x beetroot cross this year, I made by accident a few years ago, just to see what comes out of such a cross…

Hi @Juergen , great to hear you have energy to work on beets with us! All the packets have been distributed and the rest of the seed went into the Serendipity Seed Swap (EU). I suggest you either look for the seed in the box if you get that packet before next season or, as you propose, to take part in the F2-growing. That will be in 2028 as 2027 everyone in the project will make the 55 variety cross and then pool all the seed.
