Makes sense! If you want the big roots too, then you should make sure you’re selecting for radishes that still have those.
I’ve been thinking about introducing some leaf radishes into my landrace because I enjoy the leaves more than the roots (and also don’t have to slice them or wash them to eat them, so they’re less bother).
This is one radish I let go to seed. It basically grew into a little bush. You can see it beside a spaghetti squash. It grew wild in my flower bed and I decided to get seeds from it because it was a huge radish that had reseeded itself.
Oh, they are gigant. You can eat those pods like a green bean right? Maybe it can be a nice alternative for the winter.
Yes can eat them raw!
