Tips for growing plants in pots in an arid climate

Here it is always two weeks after the last freeze. XD.
We should add a warm climate advice “AND at least four weeks after the last heat spell”.

But it is more accurate to use other known plants. They know the weather better than us.

Phenology, sorry for the typo.

I like the idea of having advice of when to cool weather crops in the fall. I think some seed packets do that, don’t they?

I have a lot of trouble timing cool season crops. But i think it’s mainly due to my erratic weather. Winter is often a roller coaster between freezing and “hot”.
I have found that cool season crops usually benefit from a part shaded eastern exposure.

Ha ha ha. Yeah, our warmer winter days can get up to around 60 in the warmest part of the day. It’s delightful weather to go out and garden in.
