I started cutting the sorghum seed heads, looks like two types survived the heat to form seeds. The black and the popping type. From the 2024 GTS summer grains mix. And, I probably pulled up the quinoa plants thinking they were weeds. Alas, some varieties are new to me and not knowing what they look like growing makes it easy to mistake new plants as weeds. I still have half of the seed to try again. I can plant again towards the end of July or beginning of August.

Well…its been a brutally hot season, its finally over. I was not able to start more grain seeds afterall. But, the sorghum grew a main stalk and a bunch of side shoots that are now producing seed heads for a second harvest. The early seeds where harvested and sent in to GTS.
I dont know what color they will be, they are still green.
