Eggplant are so much fun to grow and can be perennial in warmer climates. Please share your growing season with photographs and observations during the season. Remember to save seeds if you get mature fruits. I started with a diverse mix of heirloom seeds and seeds from a neighbor. I also plant basil and dill all over the garden space to help keep aphids away and keep benificial pollinators happy. Additionally, here are some from seed saving photos from the last growing season.
The eggplant seeds from GTS germinated well for me. This mix excites me, because it includes many varieties, including F2 hybrids.
I started them as a group in 3" pots, then transferred to individual pots. I expect to transplant them into the garden in about 2 weeks.
