Adzuki beans in the far north

Hello everyone!
I recently got a small handful of Japanese adzuki beans. They are originally from Hokkaido, which at least within Japan is fairly north. But I am considering growing them here in Denmark, which is significantly further north than Hokkaido. Is there anyone here in the forum with experience in growing adzuki beans in colder, shorter and wetter summers with long hours of daylight (I don’t know if the beans are day-length sensitive). Thanks!

Tarkara Early adzuki grows well in my garden at 44 deg N, relatively cool / short growing season

I tried azukis last summer and the summer before, in brittany, fairly wet weather.
First year, summer 2023, I got underdevelopped plants and only a coupe of pods maturing.
Second year I tried a much larger quantity , I got very well developed plants but little flowering and not a single pod with seeds in them.

I would be interested to understand if they missed total heat received or just lacked peack temperatures high enough at the right moment to trigger flowering .
