ARCHIVE : not updated anymore: Welcoming Joseph in October!

Nice to see people are popping up to the Forum again   I managed to catch up with all the computer work only last week after postponing everything for 2 months when my focus was on the garden.

I will not come to Antibes unfortunatelly :frowning: Before knowing about this event, I had already purchased a Pass to an international dance festival in Malaga happening at the same time :frowning: I am happy that I will be dancing, but also sad not to meet all of you live.

However, I would be happy to host @Joseph_Lofthouse in Croatia. We are a smaller community of seed savers, but we are 3 bigger organizations and I could manage to organize something like an intro into landrace gardening because few people are familiar with it. We have space and many good case practices. And I think it would be possible to cover for travel expenses for sure using multi-city flight option (coming from specific place and then send him off to another location in EU (plus compensation for sharing his experience-I donā€™t know how much he is asking, if he is askingā€¦ please enlighten me)). I could also organize some days at Croatian seaside as a gift for him to relax and enjoy after a long gardening season and many events

Regarding crowfunding, I suggest using ko-fi.com because they donā€™t take any fees, only paypal. If, of course you donā€™t have any alternativesā€¦ or we could send money to a specific Paypal or Revolut account to avoid fees. I can contribute with a smaller amount this month, and then more next month.

A tip for next yearā€¦ we can gather forces and look into available funding for NGO on the level of EU to make it possible for more people to come from different countries in EU with minimum expenses. I have managed several Erasmus+ projects, and there are many possibilities we can use  EU loves topics like this at the moment, it makes them look like they actually care about the future of our planet

This is intersting! So did she say they were gardening seeds?

This is AWESOME! How did they do it?

excellent thought that to imagnier already a continuation the years to come !
the European group could set itself the goal of meeting once a year, either by linking itself to an event on the existing subject, or by creating something for the occasion.

if I refer to another international organization where I am, every year in Europe people meet for visits, conferences, meetings with specialistsā€¦ this 4/5-day journey is every year in a different country but the result is great because it is a real moment of exchange and weaving of human link that allows much to advance the network.

GTS European Open Days is born ?

I regret but I no longer travel unless it is absolutely necessary. This year family matters keep me busy so much that I am unable to engage more and to offer more. I would love to invite Joseph to visit and to speak in Poland, but I cannot guarantee that I will be able to organize everything, and I am not giving promises that I am not sure that I will be able to keep. But, if crowdfunding option becomes available, I will gladly support it.
