Patate:

My garden would benefit from more record-keeping than the zero that I currently do.

Mark & Patate:

One of the things that I think I got right in Landrace Gardening was not telling people how to plant, cultivate, etc. Each gardener gets to choose those things based on their climate, upbringing, habits, values, social preferences, etc.

I feel a deep sense of respect towards the Going To Seed volunteers, and I put a lot of care and attention into respecting their sovereignty, opinions, and contributions. I spent a lifetime disrespecting authoritarian figures and systems. I certainly don’t want that sort of thing for myself, nor for Going To Seed.

The volunteers at Going To Seed sometimes mention to me that they wish I would contribute more of my opinions, more often, about how to organize and run things. It’s messy and complicated. So different from the black/white, control/dominate zeal that they taught me as a child.

I want to contribute soft and gentle collaboration to Going To Seed.
