Has anyone seen something like this before? A single fruit from one of my red currant tomato plants is black (very dark purple?).
It’s also one of the smallest seemingly ripe fruits from the plant.

Sadly it had no seeds at all. The skin was actually a translucent green and the insides were a deep black purple. It smelled a bit smoky and the insides were kind of dry and hard. It also smelled a bit fermented so I didn’t taste it.
I’ll keep an eye out for any more that might show up on that plant. It feels like it wouldn’t be super likely for just a single fruit on a cluster to be mutated rather them a branch, but we’ll see.
