I just learned that as a hybrids, elephant garlic almost never produces seeds, although it’s theoretically possible.
Does anyone have experience with this? Anyone found seeds on elephant garlic? Any methods to make them produce seed? The article said under the right circumstances they may produce seed.
Hello I have grown elephant garlic for 5 years now and I do collect seeds from the flowers. not all flowers give seeds but some do.
However, I have never been successful at growing anything from these seeds . I was under the impression that I was not caring enough but it could be that they are not viable ???
I will pay more attention this year…
