Fukuoka Warm Season 2026

Does anyone know what’s in the Fukuoka Bag this year??
I ordered the warm season crops, and I’m so very new to gardening, I can only identify maybe a couple seeds. I don’t want to waste my bag because I don’t know how to start some of the seeds properly
Thanks

If you post a picture we could ID it.

I got all three Fukuoka mixes and I’m also a bit puzzled. Thanks for the detailed pictures. My brother thinks the big white beans are lima beans. I see some sunflower seeds and of course melon and squash. I was wondering if I saw a millet in there too, and hopefully a luffa seed? But yeah there’s a lot I don’t know haha! I hope to have the right planting dates etc. Not sure but I feel like some of the tiny white ones are tomatoes.

The big brown circular seed on the left side of the 2nd picture is a Moringa seed.

The biggest seed in the last picture looks like a Castor Bean.

The light colored, large, long rectangular seeds (kind of have pointed ends, 2nd &4th pics) are likely Lagenaria siceraria

I think the big white ones are lablab (hyacinth) beans

The squared oblong ones look like gourd seed. Looks like some squash seeds too? They look like moschata seeds, flat and dull, not rounded and shiny like maxima.

Thank you!!

I’m working on ID’ing my warm season mix, too. In addition to the above, I’ve got a few more for you…

I’m certain on the Teosinte, but the hibiscus is just a tentative ID. It looks pretty close, but it could be one of several things in the same genus.

I only got one in my bag, but I’m pretty sure on the parsnip seed. The tiny round tan seeds look like physalis/ground cherry. The larger but very similar seeds might be tomatillo.

The tiny black oval/oblong-ish seeds with a tiny white speck on one end are basil, I think. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so I’m having more trouble with the tinier seeds.

Thank you so much!

Hmm with the ground cherries and a peanut in mine, I’m wondering if I should start my mix indoors before the last frost (May)
