How did you make the Fukuoka keychains?

I think they look wonderful and am curious how to make some of my own with my own seed.

My guess is they covered the seeds in resin/epoxy in a silicone mold and cured it. They indeed look beautiful, i might have to buy one for myself :slight_smile:

I got resin keychain molds like these. And a UV light.

Add a layer of resin, seeds. remove bubble with a lighter. Cure. Add a top layer of resin. remove bubbles, cure.
Large seeds with air bubbles, like squash and sunflowers, didn’t work well, too many bubbles I couldn’t remove. I got a bit carried away during all my zoom calls making these coasters.

Then I got disenfranchised with the plasticky nature of it and went back to earrings and necklaces (they are thank you gifts for donors :slight_smile:
