Interesting interview with the breeder of Painted Mountain corn

Painted Mountain corn was originally adapted for Montana, with about 70 varieties in the original strain, but the breeder is working on adaptations for other climates as well. In answer to a question about why not use GMO methods, he says, “One gene does not really give regional adaptation.”
