Hello,
I have some seed from the OSU Broccoli Grex (Oregon State University) that was shared with me by Nick Routledge of Agrarian Sharing Network, in order to distribute to local farmers/growers who want to select and adapt it to our region.
After distributing what I could, I am still left with a fair amount of seed. I am looking for some growers who would be interested in stewarding the variety for diversity as well as adapting to their region.
This grex is available by our friends at Siskiyou Seeds, but it doesn’t seem widely available beyond their catalog.
I’m hoping to share it with someone who will grow it in enough scale to maintain a high level of diversity for others to benefit from its diversity, and/or adapt it to their local region.
I’m told by a local grower who grew it for a season that it was all over the place with regard to flowering time, growth habit, etc.
I have enough seed to share a large packet with several folks. I’d also be happy to share some with the G2S mix if there is still more left, but I’d love to see the seed get into the hands of people that want to do it justice to steward it long term.
Thanks!
Noel
