Push-seeder for large seed

I’m curious if anyone here uses push seeders for large seed like corn, beans, squash etc.

I use a push-seeder for smaller seed - the popular Jang JP-1. And I have considered investing in the version for large seed JD1, but they do cost a lot of money.

I see @ThomasPicard found an inexpensive version of large seeded push-seeder and wonder how the quality is for that. And if anyone else is using some other models, let us know how your experience is!

Pretty convenient tool, you got tens of versions on Alibaba, BUT if it’s a version in which you put the seeds inside the wheel and not in an above container be careful because you need to put pounds or kilos of seeds to make it work efficiently, so it’s absolutely not for tiny amounts. Then if it works very efficiently in a sandy soil like mine, or loamy, it can be catastrophic in clay soil (@stephane_rave)

Does it hold to the stress of working hard in your soil? My soil is sandy loam but pretty stony. My concern is the tool is bad quality and will break early.

I did sow something like 5 kilometers of rows of mainly corn, moschata squash, sorghum for this first year. I guess that at this pace, even with some rocks, the tool would be still standing 5 years from now, a lot more if you use high spacings (like I did : 33-40cm), which implies that you remove pieces that you can later use as spare parts in case of breaks.
