Seed Envelopes - Metric measurements?

The Seed Library Network has a super useful resource called the Auto Seed Wrapper, which is downloadable from our Envelopes and Labels page at SeedLibraryNetwork.org. We created it with about 50 common crops and it includes the common name, scientific name, planting instructions, and seed saving instructions. This makes it super easy for seed libraries (and home gardeners) to make labels to share seeds. The labels are also printable in multiple sizes (ex. 6 on 8.5x11 inches, 2x4”). We have got this program translated into Spanish, French, and Portuguese, BUT at the moment, the sizes are still in customary units. In the USA we have several sized coin envelopes that people often use for packing seeds. What we really need are what are common size seed envelopes in the metric system. If you could let us know 2 or 3 common label sizes that are attached to envelopes or envelope sizes if people don’t use adhesive labels, this would be super helpful.

Here’s a screenshot from our website showing the spreadsheet for the Auto Seed Wrapper and a few different versions. What’s wonderful is that next time you grow the crop, you just need to change the year and hit print. It’s a game changer!

Cool, great work!

Does anyone have templates which can be printed to a sheet of paper, such that they can be cut out and folded into seed packets, with the printing winding up in the right place? I started on a template for printing 4 seed packets per 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper (which can be reused scrap paper if one side is blank), but didn’t get it right, and haven’t gotten back to it…
