The Seed Library Network created a page of resources on how to host a seed swap, table signs, and resources for new folks. I’d especially recommend the document Julia and I made called Embrace Diversity.
I just went to the first annual Hyde Park Seed Swap (northern Utah) on Jan 31 and got tons of new seeds, I’m overwhelmed lol. They have now created a new seed library in the city offices with the seeds left over from that event. Wasatch Community Gardens will also have a seed swap February 21 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the City Farm, 743 W 1300 S, Salt Lake City, UT.
EDIT: adding to my list the Utah Scion Swap, March 14th, 10 AM to 2 PM at Tracy Aviary’s Nature Center at Pia Okwai, 3310 S 1000 W, South Salt Lake, Utah. Bring seeds, plants, cuttings, bulbs, etc. or just yourself
Here in Waco, texas, UrbanREAP is having a seed swap in early May. And I think there are a couple of McLennan County Master Gardeners who help teach seed saving.
The five valley’s seed swap in Missoula is a week from today. I plan to attend. I just packed sixty tomato seed packets of my F4 domestic breeding line #294. Thinking about packing some #339 to go with. (1) SEED SWAP - NEW LOCATION FOR 2026 | Facebook
Is there a graphic I could print up to put with the seeds I take to our local seed sharing event? Wasn’t there a label I could use to make labels for my seeds?
