Serendipity Seed Swap! (US)

Huzzah! Yes, more mixier, more better.

Let’s see, I need some borage seeds (I’m hoping to use them as a barrier plant, keep munching mammals out of my garden), and I’m looking out for things like chicory, celery, and cauliflower. If you don’t have ‘em, fret not. Looking forward to the box whenever it gets here! I’ll DM you the address when I get home this evening.

I think most of what you’re looking for is in the box except maybe cauliflower. I’ll see if I have any but I doubt it - not usually a fan of it.

Are you looking for root chicory (blue flowers) or lettuce-ish chicory (leafy greens)?

Definitely root chicory. Not overfond of the greens, though sometimes I put them in me sauerkraut.

Good to know there’s some of the other stuff coming my way. It’s been harder to keep up with the threads lately; my computer OS is now too old to support a browser capable of accessing the site. :-/ Still running Windows 7. Can’t stand the gimmickry of anything later. But at least I can reply to the threads.

How much is this thing costing to send on? I need to either start to budget for it, or decide to pass, as difficult as that decision will be.

Looks like it was ~26$ to get to me.

Thanks.

It usually costs me somewhere between $10 to $18 to mail it. (I always use Pirateship, which gives me about a 40% discount on the retail price of the postage.) I’d say it’s usually between $11 to $14. Last time, it cost me only $8.90, which was surprising — I think I probably lucked out in having the next person in line be closer to me than usual.

My suspicion is you can probably expect it to be about $15-ish if you use Pirateship, or about $25-ish if you pay retail rates.

Please add me to the list. Thank you!

You are added!

Hey, @Iamadesertcreature, has the box come your way?

Yes! Started going through it, in between other gardening projects. Just got my long-awaited wood chipper! I’m about 1/3 through the box.

Oooh, your very own wood chipper! I bet that’s fabulous.

I love this!! I’d love to be added if it’s still going!

Hi, Ashley! Lovely to meet you! Welcome to the community!

Will you ask again after you’ve been here for at least 30 days and made at least 10 posts? I decided to make that the minimum requirement because it makes sure everyone who’s on the list will still be around by the time their turn comes. (Laugh.)

Hey, @Iamadesertcreature, glancing up the thread reminds me: you’ve had the box for two weeks now. Are you ready to send it on to @AdelePoe?

sure, that makes sense :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I am so excited to finally be next on the list. And it is the perfect time.

Hello! Is the box all ready for Adele now?

Hello I am two down on the list but I will be out of town february 2nd-23rd… so perhaps if its not ready to come to me by January 14th, I should be put a coupler lower on the list!

Thank you for the warning! Would you like me to pop you down lower right now, or would you rather wait and see until the time comes? If we decide to wait and see and it’s ready to go to you within those dates, I can always pop you down one lower then.

Just played in the seed stash. I was going to say “organized” but that’d be a lie… :innocent:

Hey, Jessica, it’s been almost a month now. Would you please send the box to @AdelePoe immediately, if you haven’t already?
