Hi, all! Just want to let you know that The Salt Lake City Public Library is offering a series of in-person and virtual events in 2026 for anyone interested in gardening. Going to Seed is an official partner of their Seed Library and is helping to bring Adaptation Gardening to the community.
Garden Fundamentals (These in-person classes will be followed by an optional informal seed packaging session - great way to meet other community members!)
Seed Stewards (These mostly virtual meetings are open to anyone - good for those who aren’t near metro SLC.)
This year, we’ll begin a community breeding project of butternut squash (C. moschata). We’ll be signing up folks at the Spring Seed Swap on Saturday, March 7, to grow Lofthouse Landrace moschata seeds grown by Amanda and Elliot of SLC Top Crops. If you live in the area but can’t make it to the seed swap, drop me (@DebbieA) a line and we’ll save you a packet.
