Some old seeds to share

I have some old seeds that I’d like to offer to the community. Some of them are from projects that I have been unable to make progress on; others are from the earlier stages of successful projects. Below are photos with descriptions. If you are interested, send me a PM with a list of what you want; I will then ask you to email me a paid shipping label.

A box of pods from a planting of “Millwood” Honey locust. They are quite old, but I’ve heard that Honey locust seeds are long lived, and when I planted some out three years ago they germinated. Millwood was a variety developed for improved pods; seeds from it will be variable, some may be thorny.

Very old heirloom tomato seeds from relatives.

Old seed from a citron x watermelon project I was working on with some of the folks at the old Homegrown Goodness Forum, before GtS was a thing.

Commercial or semi-commercial (GtS) seed that I won’t have a further use for, in most cases because I’m now growing out my own seed derived from what I bought (though the rice was a failure for me.)

Some very fairly old corn seed, from Joseph Lofthouse. I lost access to the larger patch of land that would have made it possible to grow out.

Other old seed from Joseph Lofthouse, purchased before GtS was founded. In many cases, I grew out seeds from these packets to start my own strains.

Seeds I was given to start a pea breeding project by a participant of the Home Grown Goodness Forums. I’ve contacted him to see if he wants them back, so there will be a bit of a delay if you want them. Seed is quite old, probably around 8 years old if I remember right.

Wow! You might see about getting on the seed box list, then you can add them to the box. when I had the box last year, I pulled seeds labeled for 2018 and those years, and some have sprouted just fine! Esp the tomatoes. Its an idea

I would be interested in the cucumbers, muskmelons, carrots, moschata squash, and the lofthouse landrace dry bush beans if any of those are still available. Also just some of the citron x watermelon seed - I don’t need nearly as much as is pictured.
