First time potato grower here, and i was wondering whether anyone knows if micro tubers can be replanted directly in the ground immediately following harvest, or if they need a sort of dormancy period.
I ended up starting my tps seeds way too early, forcing me to have to get rid of some plants due to space restrictions indoors, but they had managed to make some incredibly tiny tubers. So i wanted to see if they can be planted this season.

Tubers will have dormancy. Depends on the genetics. Diploids have the shortest dormancy to basically none.

I see, Thank you for the info! I’ll have to hope that my tubers are diploids then
