We harvested our seed crop from our original cucumber planting. We are happy with the final grex. Early in the planting, we had cucumber beetle pressure (bacterial wilt) and Angular Leaf Spot, which is common here in June. We may also have had some Target Leaf Spot, but it is hard to distinguish them. We rogued any plants that were particularly affected. It has been really warm and dry here most of the summer, so also we had good selection on drought. We did have a wet stretch at the end of July that brought heavy Downy Mildew pressure, so we were also able to select for DM resistance by only harvesting from plants with green vines.
We harvested a large seed crop from healthy plants in mid-August. Some pictures are attached.
