I just came across this lovely website (available in 9 languages):

They have a whole bunch of educational films on ‘ABC OF SEED PRODUCTION: TECHNICAL AND THEORETICAL TOOLS’

Here’s an example of their video for chicory:

Of course they also tell us how far apart varieties need to be, though for us I suppose that means the further the separation distance they say, the better for us as they’ll cross even more when we plant them together
