I already kind of did a beta test with my seed list unless you had something else totally different in mind. Feel free to take notes.

I’d like to add another flavor to the idea. We could list what projects we are working on.
E.g. Member XYZ is working on a Cuc. Maxima project, fifth year, selecting for ABC, location: DEF, has seeds available (Y/N), photos.
That would open things up more for collaboration. Maybe we would need to be highly inclusive on what a project is: e.g. collecting seeds from grocery stores or growing some heirloom tomatoes could be projects that generate seeds that are interesting to others.

I like this idea. It could open up potential collaboration for projects.

Maybe we aren’t ready to freely share seeds yet, but if someone else happens to be working on a very similar project then trading those seeds for similar seeds could help diversify and propel both projects.

That’s a good point. Sometimes I only have as many seeds of something rare as I want, so I would not offer it freely, but I would be willing to share a few with someone who really, really wants to try that species.

Just getting to this thread; better late than never.

Someday, I would like to beta test this project, but right now I can only offer a format for seed keepers.
Maybe it could incorporate the seeds that you are willing to share, limit seed trades, and share any in progress projects.

I am not sure the status or progress of this project, but I was wondering if you would like to use my seed list collection format as a possibitity for the seedkeepers in this project.

I can DM you a copy of the list, it contains most but not all of the seeds in my collection and how my landracing projects are organized. It’s still a work in progress, so I can update you with any future alterations, especially any new eureka ways of organizing the information.

Also, I was also wondering if there are any updates to this project? Overall it’s a great idea!:light_bulb: I’m excited to see it fleshed out.

In the meantime, it would be cool for users interested in trading can include an attachment of their seed list of possible trades, and landrace projects in their introduction/bio page. It can be a starting point
