I have 2 large plots im trialing several varieties in and this is my best one.
It seems that nitrogen fixation is more prevalent in old northern landraces than I previously thought. They aren’t the majority of the population but still noticeable.
This is on either “Red field” a New York varieties from the 1940’s and back, or Longfellow Flint a new england corn likely of Indigenous origin.
This is the hight of that same plant compared to my hand as high as it goes. I’m 5’6"
