We get some influx of new members, which is great news, we need to grow.
I made a Telegram channel everybody can join, especially new members so they can upload pictures of their diverse garden successes and chit-chat on there.
The idea is it’s for folk who are starting to grow and maybe even garden to upload and speak amongst. Those for who speaking on the discourse platform is a bridge too far.
There are quite some seeds for the easier crops which are abundant in our communities like Cucurbitacea or lettuce and spinach for instance which we could distribute instead of leading newbies to the serendipity.
I’ve spoken to @marcela_v about it and she says it would be good to have it not centralized as she’s already planning to do this for Croatia personally.
This topic is for talking about this, what people have tried and what people envision.
So to be clear, the plan to lead to full spectrum landrace dominance (hihi) goes like this, give them easy grexes and have them report on the Telegram channel.
you read an article or a program on local television about the gardening adaptation > we refer you to a social network channel > then to the GTS site>then you end up slave of local seeds …
it’s a bit machiavellian but terribly afficace to enlarge a community
I did not understand if we should not centralize the distribution of easy seeds or not centralize the Telegram channel by making one per country?
the Adaptation trap closes on new members …
[/quote]. and yes I love this, I do this to people around me, and to my surprise sometimes it doesn’t work, I need more traps.
As the seed exchange community, we have probably nothing to worry about, but in general, Telegram is not secure application, and I am staying away from it.
