What are these traits on this corn?

I’m growing an “Amish” red popcorn that you can buy all over the place, including Amazon. I have smut growing on some, which i don’t mind even though I’ve yet to try it, but i also have this weird growth on some tassels…

Also looks like there are multiple cobs growing out of one husk…

I have at least 2 cobs on most stalks but I’m also getting a lot with 3. Will a third cob draw from the previous 2’s ability to mature, or is this a good thing?

Is that “smut” on the tassels? It gets much bigger on the cobs.
