Hello,
I have some corn that didn’t make any tassels, but yet it grew silks. The silks were produced at the terminal position of the corn stalk, where the tassels should have been produced. Does anyone understand what could have caused this?
I want to clarify that what I have observed is not a “Tassel Ear”. There is no tassel structure present on this particular corn plant. And the cob is encased in a husk.
Thank you for your help.
