My husband, today: “What’s that by my ankle that looks like a snake?”

“IT’S A SNAKE!”
He freaked out about it, so we looked it up. We’re pretty sure it’s a rubber boa, which is harmless to humans, eats rodents, and is very common in our area. It’s definitely not any of the venomous snakes that live in our state.
