Joseph is very flexible on scheduling, and would like to arrive a day or two before major events to regain strength after traveling.
Generous donor has covered International flights for Joseph and Julia. Local groups shifting to crowdfunding local accommodations and travel. Are any usa based folks willing to help with expenses? Discussed logistics. No final resolution.

yesterday we discussed 5 minutes off after, and Mare Silba from Croatia asked what she could propose to you to do the day before on October 2 in the afternoon.
If you are not too tired by the trip, I proposed to Mare and you Joseph to join me in Antibes center (about 1km 0.7 miles) there is one of the most beautiful and old botanical garden in France (in the top 3 !) Villa Thuret
it is an extraordinary park with incredible species of trees and shrubs acclimatized from all over the planet with the Mediterranean flora as a specialty. I could make you botanical guide to discover this place and we could also at this time collect seeds.

in any case it would be nice because we need a beautiful and very attractive stand, this is how we give the desire to participants of the forum to come and meet us. We need everyone to bring seeds, crops, documents… to create this beautiful showcase. So there is a little job to get there.
In any case thank you for your very professional organization with the agendas before which allow or not people to free themselves according to the subjects.
I agree : we’ll get full on that after we get things related to Joseph’s tour sorted. It is a huge opportunity to spread the word and connect with others doing things similar in other networks or… continents! so yes what’s at stake is big! We’ll do something nice, creative I am sure

@Joseph_Lofthouse could have some updated news from potential hosts, I personnally have had those contacts : Véronique Chable in France monday was in the process of discussing things with people, mainly brassica breeders in Brittany (NorthWest France). @Marianne also contacted me through WhatsApp days ago last week-end, but my phone is out of order right now and will be until tomorrow evening, so I don’t know much about South Scotland apart from the fact that they were organizing to propose something. We talked with @Holly_S a few days ago, she is in the US right now but was proposing to host Joseph on one her friend’s farm, which is a farm involved in a collective breeding project she is coordinating, and this farm being located in some central part of England could enable people to comute. Let’s talk about these news and updates with @Joseph_Lofthouse tomorrow.
Last minute you said? ^^ Let’s do that again, cause summertime: I know everybody’s busy ;-)… personnaly gone for a brushcutter repair and a new attempt at saving my hundreds of tomatoes nearly all dying from late blight… attempt using lactofermentations… funky stuff… maybe too late but we never know
What’s made clear is that we will need an extra week to set things up and let collectives bring in more advanced proposals.
So next meeting (2024-07-25T18:00:00Z is a deadline for these proposals.
Denmark’s proposal is made of a saturday dedicated event + a 2 day-tours for Joseph to meet with with breeders like Andreas Borgen, and some collectives.
Croatia’s is confirmed as the first place for Joseph to stay, on the week prior to Antibes, with an event where he could probably speak and meet with gardeners, farmers.
We wait for some more details on the french part (@ThomasPicard and Véronique Chable and Emma Flippon for the Brittany stay) and on the UK part (@Marianne for south Scotland, @Holly_S for central England).
We need to know what are the travel possibilities from Brittany to either Scotland or England.
There seems to be no proposal on the Irish side (@seedsaver).
Depending on what steps will be in between Antibes and Denmark, time of flying back will be adjusted (either around the 23th or the 30th).
On the crowd funding part Hugo made a great text (to come) and we have been discussing where we could asked for funds, namely:
overall Going to Seed Community and social media
then the europeans of going to seed
the french farmers who were willing to help with initial crowd funding
Joseph’s contact list and social medias
I’ll let others complete that quick summary about technical aspects of the funding part and the super great news we’ve had regarding recording of Antibes’s event
I could not connect yesterday because I would not have been of great help on the subject of the European tour.
However, I come back to the video when we will talk about the organization of the Stand GTS in Antibes. I would be of greater help on logistics.

Tonight, you can just briefly mention during the financing party, if it sounds like a good idea as Debbie suggests to sold a poster for the occasion. Because it requires a small investment (about 30€ / 50 copies) but could bring some sales that would be donated to help finance the tour of Joseph.
I just need a collective answer no or yes we do, because I have a little doubt if people would buy a poster of the event. However, I am convinced that it is easier to make a purchase of support for a visitor to our stand, than just making a donation.
Ok, I’ll Ask for a collective reply. My personnal perspective right now is: why not, but I sincerely Hope that all Joseph’s inner Europe travel expenses (1500-2500€) will be covered by the crowd funding long before.
Our collective reply is : yes. Let’s do this. Worse case scenario being: guys from Going to Seed buying all stocks because you made such a nice design and we all want to have one poster of this great moment we’ll have shared in Antibes, together!
