I have just gotten The Lost Art of Potato Breeding yesterday.
Morvan, Raoul Bobinson’s book is aimed at breeding resistance to all parasites including viruses through horizontal resistance which means that many genes contribute to the resistance so it is robust instead of resistance that relies on one or two genes that breaks down causing disasters. He actually worked on breeding potato’s resistant to viruses in Kenya, I think, with great success.
