A friend at work said he planted Jacob’s cattle bean, some sort of runner bean, and some sort of other, supposed-to-be-white dry bean together and the seeds were obviously crossed (not sure if he saved his own seed the year previous or where he acquired them). He apparently got up to 12" long pods with dry beans in them. Given that I’ve had no luck with beans, I’m pretty excited to possibly source some from my town, even if he is a little warmer than I am. I’m hoping for a bean/corn trade.
