Long Beans in Cowpea Landrace?

Hey y’all!
I caught this baby growing in my legume tower. Over 18” long and actually the only pod so far! I am like 96% positive I did not plant any yard long beans in this tower. I did plant seeds from 3 different cowpea landraces though (Lofthouse & two that came from Lofthouse originally).

Wondering if anyone has gotten pods this long with their cowpea landraces? I know yard long beans are a subset of cowpeas so it would make sense.

That is awesomely long! I hope that also translates to huge productivity in dried beans.

I just learned this week that yard long beans are actually a subset of cowpeas. I had no idea! Plant genetics are fascinating!
