I am in Utah, Zone 5. I am excited to begin Landrace gardening this year. I hope to try squash, melons and beans.

Hi, Kim! I live in Utah, too! Zone 7. I’ve found squashes and melons do really well here, so I bet you’ll be delighted with those. As for beans, I’ve had little luck so far, but I suspect this is because I haven’t found the right varieties yet. I’m planning to try a whole ton of bean varieties and species next year, and see what works best for me. My money’s on tepary beans! 
If you’d like some of my seeds, I’d be happy to send you some! Since we’re so close, I’m guessing what does well in my yard will likely be well adapted for you.
