LIVE GTS meeting for European members in the week of November 3-9 2025

Dear European GTS friends and enthusiasts,

We are planning a live European GTS meeting to happen sometime in October or November in 2025, and would love to see who might be interested to join the meeting. At this point we are only gathering information to estimate the interest and the need for it, and we will make further decisions based on your answers. You are welcome to express yourself as you feel or think would be the best to make this meeting happen.

Proposed venue in Croatia: ZMAG (ZMAG Green Network of Activist Groups )

  • 20 minutes from Zagreb airport in the forest
  • ZMAG is a recycled educational centre with gardens, a seed bank, an event space and accommodation (15 people in common sleeping space + 5 more in smaller huts and tree house, and a huge forest for camping fans)
  • Price: 380 euro / day for the whole group (15 people) includes:
    - renting the venue with everything included for the whole group (sleeping, using kitchen and meeting space, projector, chairs, outdoor space, etc)
    - Food (three meals per day + chef)

Final price per person per day depends on how many of us will participate, but roughly expected cost for accommodation, venue, food and other small logistical costs included would be around 25 euro per day per person (calculated based on 15 people)

Individual travel arrangements to and from Croatia are not included in this calculation, only local travel to and from the airport and short trips to visit seed banks and farms.

I managed to create an account at framaforms. But if I click your link it doesn’t open that form. Asks me to reconnect, which I then do, then it doesn’t open the form still.
I can however look for forms. Does it have a name or number I can copy paste?

I forgot to mention for everyone, you don’t need to create an account to complete the questionnaire.

so that there is no worry for others the journey between the airport and the place in the countryside will not be done by public transport because it must not exist but local people will be mobilized to take us to a good destination.

We will find a way to make group departures from Zagreb according to our respective arrivals.

Regarding local transport - you don’t need to worry about it. We will organize local transport based on arrivals and departures to Croatia, as well as we will organize personal cars for any trips to visit farms or seed banks in a different location. And cost for that is already calculated approximately in the price that is written in the questionnaire.

Each person need to take care how to arrive to Zagreb, and how to leave from Zagreb. There are also other options for flying to Venice Treviso airport and then taking Flixbus to Zagreb. Budapest is also sometimes convenient for travels from some countries, and there is a direct train and many Flixbuses to arrive to Zagreb.

at the moment with the answers 7 people are almost sure to come, but we could be 14 people with those who still have small doubts.

my advice: do everything for coming, the first meeting of 2024 in Antibes was extraordinary, and really created a strong european core for projects in the community! :wink:

@Thomas, Maxime and Sébastien from the group Pep’s seem motivated… I count on you to motivate more them. Croatia will be more amazing than Antibes which was already amazing :grinning:

a last huge argument for coming, the memory of a sentence by Bruno during a meal in Antibes:
“I learned more here in 5 days with this event than in 5 years on my farm” :sunglasses:

here is the general analysis of the questionnaire made by the software on multiple choice questions.

indeed the “Other” buttons sometimes change the vote which does not appear on these graphs.

we can do a debreefing on Tuesday night on the video conference.
Overall, the answers are quite clear except for the timing.
Many people have made a return to know the dates fast enough to block them and plan.
I think we’ll have to define that as a priority on Tuesday.

PS: a special thank you to you for this ecological awareness :pray:, many have decided not to come by plane. Although I had answered Avion on the questionnaire it made me review my position, and I found that by considering a bus I may double the travel time but this reduced the budget, eliminated all connections, and could greatly reduce my carbon impact. :green_heart:

We have a lot of interesting answers in the questionnaire, and I am confident that when we decide on the dates, that there will be more people joining, and the year is still long, so we might get new members throughout the year to join.

So, I propose that we talk about it on Wednesday after meeting with Julia and Anna.
Then we propose some dates, everyone who answered the questionnaire can answer, and we book the place once we have the final agreement.
